Tourism

Tourism and the Visitor Economy is important to many towns within the corridor of the project. Tourism is driven by our natural assets, attracting varying levels of visitors throughout the year. The proposition is to further capitalise on prime locations, particularly Marysville, by extending visitor stays and increasing opportunities for investment in the local economy. Key focus areas for further investigation include key worker accommodation, capacity building, skills and training, recruitment, marketing and promotion and investment readiness.

Shaping Murrindindi’s Future project is proudly supported by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, RMIT University and Murrindindi Shire Council.
