Overview

Advanced manufacturing has been identified in the Local Development Strategy as a growth opportunity for the region. Many niche industries require specialist equipment tailored to their needs, and this project aims to strengthen Murrindindi’s manufacturing sector by fostering industry specialisation and growth.

The strategy highlights the benefits of clustering specialised industries to combine skills and trades, supporting both existing and new businesses. Murrindindi’s proximity to Melbourne further enhances its potential for advanced manufacturing.

The next step is identifying further opportunities for industrial-zoned land, including infrastructure needs and potential future industries.

Shaping Murrindindi’s Future project is proudly supported by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, RMIT University and Murrindindi Shire Council.
