UPCOMING INFORMATION SESSIONS

Come along to the following information sessions to learn more about the Shaping Murrindindi’s Future Project and how you can get involved in the next stage.

Tuesday 23 April from 12 noon – 2.00 pm at the Taggerty Hall

Tuesday 23 April from 3.30 – 6.30 pm at the Alexandra Shire Hall

Wednesday 24 April from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm at MiRA Marysville

This Project is focused on assisting communities who are directly affected by the transition away from native timber harvesting, particularly the areas of Marysville, Taggerty, Buxton and Alexandra, to identify and develop opportunities for economic diversification. A representative from the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) will be at each of the sessions to provide information on access to the Forestry Transition Fund. This project is made possible through funding from the State Government’s Victorian Forestry Plan and is supported by Murrindindi Shire Council, DEECA and RMIT University.
